My closest step to summit
Linda brook, American SamoaAs a Trek enthusiast myself, I always wanted to have a glimpse of Mt.Everest up close and what a day it was for me, one to remember for my whole life . I was really lucky to have Eternal Himalaya by my side while travelling through the Himalayas. What more could you ask for? The sherpas along the way were as friendly as you would get, and those tea houses were my favourite ones throughout the journey.
Altitude Tested Me, But Guides Kept Us Safe
Wayan Putra, IndonesiaI struggled with headaches and fatigue at higher altitudes, especially crossing Dolma La Pass, but Eternal Himalaya was prepared with daily health checks, Diamox advice, and emergency oxygen ready. The itinerary's slow build-up (Lhasa rest days, gradual drives) helped a lot. Mansarovar Lake dip and puja were highlights, serene and emotional. The kora felt sacred, with powerful energy around Kailash. Guesthouses were basic (cold nights, shared facilities), and the drives were bumpy, but that's expected in remote Tibet. Guides' patience and the group's support made it manageable. Spiritually rewarding despite the hardships, left with clarity and gratitude.
