The Kathmandu and Dhulikhel tour commences with your arrival in the Kathmandu valley. The first day of the tour begins with you heading out to the holy Pashupatinath Temple. It is a major pilgrimage site for Hindus around the world. From here, we make our way to the small hill of Swayambhunath which houses the holy Swayambhunath Temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Buddha and is the oldest temple in Nepal. After a short exploration, we head out to the Kathmandu Durbar Square where we can witness the prime example of Malla architecture in the form of temples like Kumari temple, Taleju Bhawani, and Akash Bhairav. The next part of this tour takes us to the antique settlement of Patan where we shall explore the small but beautiful Patan Durbar Square. There is a certain magical property in this architectural marvel that attracts people from far and wide. Scout the Krishna temple and Bhimsen temple. Enjoy the local staple Dal Bhat and ride to Bhaktapur where the ancient palace of the Malla kings will cleanse your soul. Taste some Juju Dhau as you explore the 55-windowed palace, golden gate, and Nyatapola Temple. From Bhaktapur, we head to the ancient Newari settlement of Dhulikhel where we give you the chance to learn the local norms by visiting the Chandeswori Temple and the old settlements. Finally, you head back to Kathmandu on the 5th day where this tour shall end.

Day 1:Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive in Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and meet our company representative in the airport. They will transfer you to your hotel. In the afternoon, you shall have a brief session with the guides who shall accompany you during your tour. In the evening, you can explore around the local area. Overnight in Kathmandu.

The sightseeing tour commences today. After a hearty breakfast, our guide will take you to some of the major UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu valley. Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath are the prominent religious symbols of Hinduism and Buddhism. After exploring these sites, we shall have lunch and then head towards Kathmandu Durbar Square. It dates back to the Malla Dynasty and portrays their style of architecture. Overnight in Kathmandu.

  • Maximum Altitude1300m

Today is another day of sightseeing. After a delicious Nepali breakfast, you will head to Patan and Bhaktapur. Initially, we visit Patan Durbar Square. Take time to explore the Krishna Mandir and Bhimsen Mandir. These Durbar Squares were built during Malla and Lichhavi dynasties. Next, we visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square and marvel at the beauty of Nyatapola Temple, 55-window Palace, and the local museum as well. Overnight in Kathmandu.

    The objective of the day is to visit ancient Newari settlement of Dhulikhel. The drive takes about an hour and it goes through Banepa and Bhaktapur. In Dhulikhel, you’ll visit Chandeswori Temple or even hike all the way to the selfie stone. You can even visit the Kali temple or take a short trip to the ancient settlements here. Overnight in Dhulikhel.

    Today, we head back to Kathmandu. The drive from Dhulikhel to Kathmandu takes about an hour. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel. This marks the end of the tour. In the spare time, you can go for souvenir shopping in Thamel. You can explore the attractions in the Kathmandu Valley on your own. Overnight in Kathmandu. 

      Today is your final day in Nepal and our company representative will drop you off at Tribhuvan International Airport for your scheduled flight home. Thank you for traveling with us and we hope that you will join us again. Goodbye!
