Overview

Mt. Narphu Peak Climbing is an adventurous expedition in the remote northern Annapurna region, located between the Damodar and Kang La Himalayan ranges. This climb takes you deep into the hidden valley of Nar Phu, offering untouched landscapes, ancient Tibetan culture, and dramatic mountain scenery.

The Nar Phu Valley remains isolated from modernization, preserving its pure wilderness, traditional villages, narrow canyons, and dense pine forests. This rarely visited region is perfect for trekkers seeking raw Himalayan beauty, rich cultural experience, and complete solitude.

Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syange via Besisahar. From Syange, the trek officially starts, ascending gradually through lush forests, waterfalls, and traditional settlements. Passing Koto and Meta, the trail leads toward Phu Village, one of the most culturally preserved Himalayan communities.

You continue through Nar Phedi toward the beautiful ancient village of Nar, with breathtaking views of the Annapurna Range, Gangapurna (7454m), Tilicho Peak (7134m), Himlung Himal (7126m), and several other majestic mountains.

After exploring Nar, the trail leads toward the base camp via the high Kang La Pass (5320m). From base camp, the real climb begins as you ascend Mt. Narphu Peak (5921m), a perfect challenge for trekkers seeking an introductory Himalayan peak climbing experience.

Following your successful summit, you retrace the trail back to Besisahar through Manang and drive back to Kathmandu. The best seasons for Mt. Narphu Peak Climbing are March to May and September to November, when visibility and weather conditions are ideal.
