Pokhara, the city of lakes is one of the most beautiful and astonishing cities of Nepal and offers different entertaining and adventurous activities to its visitors. Zip-flyer is one of them. Compared to their counterparts (other adventure sports) zip-flyers have only been recently introduced and are still a new product for adventure tourism in Nepal. During the adventure, one gets to experience the most amazing panoramic views of different snow-capped giants like Machhapuchhre (6997m), Annapurna (8091m), and Dhaulagiri (8167m).
The zip-flyer starts from Sarangkot Hill which is at an altitude of 1625 meters and will end up all the way down at 960 meters in the Hemja Plain. It has a total length of around 1.8 kilometers which makes it one of the longest and steepest zip flyers in the world.
During the adventure, one gets to experience the most amazing panoramic view of different snow-capped giants like Annapurna (8091m), Machhapuchhre (6997m), Dhaulagiri (8167m), and Lamjung Himal (6931m). Also, the beautiful view over the dense canopy and bright blue lakes of Pokhara Valley offer memories that last for a lifetime.
The flyer has a maximum speed of around 120-130 km per hour; this allows you to get the experience of flying in the air like a bird. Talking about safety, zip flyers here are extremely comfortable and are installed with the best technology for their authenticity, durability, and strength. These flyers comply with ASTM & TUV standards. The flyer ride costs approximately $78 per person. However, one needs to be above 14 years of age to experience this.
