The hike begins with a short drive from Lakeside to the trailhead. From there, you ascend through lush forests, passing small traditional villages along the way. The 11 km uphill hike usually takes 2–3 hours, making it ideal for families, beginners, and travelers seeking a short day hike.

Reaching the hilltop, you are rewarded with 360-degree panoramic views, including terraces, forests, and the sparkling Phewa Lake. Sarangkot is especially famous for its sunrise and sunset vistas, offering photographers and nature lovers a remarkable experience.

Day 1:Sarangkot Hiking

The journey starts from the Lakeside of Pokhara. First of all you will be offered breakfast at the hotel of your choice. Then, a private transportation will take you to the starting point of the hike where a local guide will be waiting for you. It will take around 3-4 hours for you to reach the marked destination (i.e. Sarangkot hill top). After enjoying the beautiful sunset view over the picturesque of different mountain ranges, you will then spend your night at a teahouse. In early morning, after having your breakfast and enjoying the majestic views, a private vehicle will again drive you back to Pokhara lakeside.
