The tour commences with your arrival in the Kathmandu Valley and after you fill out all the paperwork, the first part of the tour takes you to Namobuddha. It is a religious Buddhist site with a history that dates back to ancient times.

The origin of this site includes a legend that states Lord Buddha sacrificed his life for a Tigress and her cubs. On a clear day, you can see a distant view of Ganesh Himal and Langtang Mountain Range.

Take some time to meditate here. After Dhulikhel, we drive back to Kathmandu and visit the reveredUNESCO World Heritage siteof Boudhanath. Shop for some souvenirs here and then, head to the Kapan Monastery.

The monkey temple of Swayambhunath and White Gompa are the next main destinations on our tour. Swayambhunath stupa sits on top of a hill from where you can get an overall view of Kathmandu Valley. Climb the numerous steps and enjoy the religious atmosphere there. Thereafter, we head to Lumbini via the Prithvi Highway joining the East-West Highway on the latter part of the drive.

At Lumbini, you shall explore ancient sites like the Maya Devi temple, Ashoka Pillar, and the World Peace Pagoda. Lumbini is the birthplace of Lord Buddha and has various monuments and scriptures related to Buddhism.

These sites are filled with numerous secrets that are left to be unravelled. After the completion of your sightseeing, we head back to Kathmandu where this trip shall end.

Day 1:Arrival in Kathmandu| 1300m

Today, you will arrive in Kathmandu by landing in Tribhuvan International Airport. Our company representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. During the day, you can make a quick visit around the city as there are no scheduled events. The company will host you a welcome dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Wake up early and catch a ride that takes you out of Kathmandu Valley and into the revered Buddhist destination of Namobuddha. The history of Namobuddha dates back to thousands of years that Buddha had given his life for a hungry tigress to prevent her from devouring her own cubs. After visiting the beautiful monastery that sits on top of a hill, we can hike around the area. Overnight in Namobuddha.

After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu and then head towards the major UNESCO World Heritage Site of Boudhanath. This stupa is a major pilgrim point for the Buddhists and is the largest in the nation. You can see many Tibetan monks and people praying. Later, we head to Kapan Monastery which sits on the top of Kapan Hill. The monastery is known for its natural scenery of the hills surrounding the Kathmandu Valley along with its immense significance to the Buddhists in the country. Overnight in Kathmandu.

    We have two destinations to sightsee on this day. First, we head to Swayambhunath which is a hilltop temple revered by both Buddhists and Hindus. The small hill thrives in monkeys and local birds. There are small temples, monasteries, and shrines here. From the stupa, you can see most of Kathmandu Valley. Later, we shall head to White Gompa of Ramkot. It also sits on a hilltop and from there, we see Nagarjun, Shivapuri, and Godavari hills as well. After spending some time in peace among the hills, we head back to our hotel.

      We head towards the main attraction of this tour, the birth place of Lord Buddha in Lumbini, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We cruise along the Prithvi Highway which later joins the East-West Highway. The drive will take most of the day so upon arrival in Lumbini, we straight head to the hotel. If time permits, you can explore the locales around this Terai city. Overnight in Lumbini.

        Today, we explore the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha and visit the remnants of the palace he was born and raised in. We also visit the Maya Devi temple which is the birth place of Lord Gautam Buddha The famous Ashoka Pillar, which dates back to 249 BC, alongside the temple is said to indicate the actual birth-site of Lord Buddha. Lumbini area is quite large and houses many monasteries from different Asian countries. Overnight in Lumbini.

          From Lumbini, we shall get on a private vehicle and head back to Kathmandu. The drive from Lumbini goes through the amazing East West highway which later joins the Prithvi highway. After a drive of 8 hours, we reach Kathmandu. The tour has come to an end. At Kathmandu, we can head to the local market and shop for gifts and souvenirs or choose to rest. Overnight in Kathmandu.
