Muktinath Temple Tour takes you to one of Nepal’s most sacred destinations, located at 3710 meters at the foot of Thorong La in the Mustang district. Revered by both Hindus and Buddhists, Muktinath means “Salvation of God,” and thousands of pilgrims visit seeking freedom from the cycle of birth and rebirth. This tour is ideal for travelers who want a spiritual journey without high-altitude trekking.
The tour begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, stopping at Manakamana Temple via cable car. Enjoy breathtaking views of green hills, terraced farms, and lush orange orchards in Gorkha District before continuing to Pokhara.
From Pokhara, the journey continues with a drive to Jomsom, followed by a jeep ride to Muktinath Temple. The temple is a small pagoda-style shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu, worshipped as one of the eight most virtuous holy sites for Hindus and 24 Tantric sites for Buddhists.
Visitors can take a ritual bath in the 108 holy water spouts, believed to cleanse sins, and at the Mukti Kunda ponds located in front and behind the temple. Nearby, Jwala Mai Temple, the Goddess of Flame, features a unique underground blue flame believed to have been lit by Brahma himself.
After the darshan, the tour returns to Jomsom, then to Pokhara, and finally back to Kathmandu, following the same scenic route. This journey combines pilgrimage, culture, and breathtaking Himalayan landscapes, offering a spiritually enriching experience for travelers of all ages.
