The 8-day Pokhara Valley Tour commences with your arrival in Kathmandu Valley. After some quick paperwork, we shall begin the tour.
The first part of the tour takes you to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu Valley which comprises Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, and Boudhanath. Pashupatinath is a famous temple dedicated to Lord Shiva that gets hundreds of pilgrims every day.
Swayambhunath is the oldest temple in Nepal and is one of the most important religious sites for Buddhists. Boudhanath is the biggest stupa and equally important Buddhist stupa. The three Durbar Squares were carved by the ancient Malla kings hundreds of years ago.
After we complete visiting all the UNESCO Sites in Kathmandu, we shall take a bus and head to the Pokhara Valley which covers a distance of around 200 kilometres. The drive shows amazing sights of the Trishuli River and the green hills. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you will finish the day by doing a peaceful boating trip in Phewa Lake. Wake up early the next morning for a quick ride to the hill station of Sarangkot.
Here, you will observe the glorious sunrise illuminating the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains. And from there we head to Mahendra and Bat Cave. We conclude the Pokhara Valley Tour with a hike to the World Peace Pagoda and visit Davis Falls the next day. You will also learn some history at the International Mountain Museum. You will drive back to Kathmandu where this tour shall end.
