Overview

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, a spiritual and life-changing journey can be accomplished via Lucknow on Helicopter. Yatra starts when our representatives will pick you up from Lucknow domestic airport and then drive to Nepalgunj. We will fly to Simikot from Nepalgunj and then to Hilsa by Helicopter. This tour gives you an opportunity to get pleasure from the natural beauty of both the Nepalese and the Tibetan landscapes.

The breathtaking beauty of this sacred mountain and the holy lake of Mansarovar along with the ruins of the 9th Century Guge Kingdom in Far Western Tibet is the experience of a lifetime. Circumambulation known otherwise as kora/parikrama of the mountain starts from the Yama dwar. We will cross the highest elevation during the trek- Dolma la Pass (5700m) while performing the 2nd kora/parikrama.

The great lakes Manasarovar and Rakshas Tal which lie in the shadow of Kailash, are also manifestations of aspects of the Hindu religion and symbolize the water tanks at the doorway to every Hindu temple. Day 1:Lucknow to Nepalgunj

Arrive at pick up point in Lucknow in the morning. From there we will drive around 4-5 hrs. in private vehicle for Nepalgunj. Yatra briefing in the evening at the hotel. Overnight at Nepalgunj.

  • Maximum Altitude150m

Early Morning driveto Nepalgunj Airport and catch the flight to Simikot. It is 40-50 minutes flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot. We will stay overnight in Simikot for acclimatization.

    Early morning, we will fly with a small helicopter to Hilsa from Simikot. Upon arriving hilsa we will wait for all the group members to arrive then proceed to the border immigration.Our drive to Taklakot will be waiting in the Tibet side. The drive to Taklakot is 27 km. The remaining day in Taklakot is to rest for acclimatization.

    Taklakot is a small town with lots of shops on both sides of the road for shopping necessary items for further Yatra.

    • Maximum Altitude3900m

    After breakfast, drive roughly 2 hours in the AC Volvo category bus to Mansarovar Lake. On the way we can see RakshasTaalon our left where we will have a short break and take some pictures and enjoy the sceneries. The lake 'Raksha’s' represents the force of the devil. Upon reaching Mansarovar Lake we will start the Holy Lake Parikrama which is approx. 105 KMs, take holy bath and perform Puja at divine Lake Mansarovar. The first glimpse of Mount Kailash is also visible from Manasarovar.

    • Maximum Altitude4450m

    After a short drive from Lake Mansarovar, we will reach to Darchen which is base for Kailash Parikrama &Ashtapad darshan. We will visit Asthapad if you get permission by Chinese authorities. Overnight stay in the Hotel.

    • Maximum Altitude4560m

    Early in the morning after breakfast, we will drive to Yamdwar and then trek to Dirapuk (10 KMS for first day Parikrama). You get blessed with the darshan of North Face of Mount Kailash during the first day of Parikrama which is considered to be most auspicious.Yatries who do not want to trek around (Parikrama) Mt. Kailash can go back to Darchen wait for rest of the group to arrive from Parikrama.

    • Maximum Altitude4880m

    Early morning after breakfast, we will trek from Dirapuk to Zuthulpuk crossing the highest altitude in the trek which is Dolma La Pass. Total trek is of 22 KMs on the second day of Parikrama. This is the most difficult part of the journey in throughout the yatra since you have to trek up to the 18,600 ft height above sea level. From Dolma LaPass descend to Gauri Kund and further trek along with the river to Zuthulpuk.

    Day 2 is important as you will pass through Shivasthal (Sacred place for Tibetans & believed that whatever you offer here, get it in Heaven) & Gauri Kund. After Dolma La Pass its long pleasant trekking way beside the river. You will see the East face of Mount Kailash here.

      The third day Parikrama is of 8 KMs & takes around 3 hours to completereaching our bus pick up point. We will then drive to Darchen (3 kms) and merge with other members who were waiting in Darchen, and further proceed with the dive to Taklakot.

      • Maximum Altitude3900m

      Drive to Hilsa by private vehicle, fly back to Simikot by Helicopter. We will stay the night here as the possibility of catching flight back to nepalgunj is less.

        Early morning flight from Simikot to Nepalgunjand flight to Kathmandu after the lunch in Nepalgunj.

          The day begins with the monkey temple known as Swayambhunath from where we can see stunning views of the valley and tranquil environment, the journey then heads towardsJalnarayan (the sleeping Vishnu).After lunch, we will then visit Ghuheswori and Pashupatinath. This Hindu temple is also revered as the guardian deity of the nation. The day ends at Pashupatinath with its beautiful evening aarati.

            Our representatives will once again drop you back to Tribhuvan International Airport just in time for your flight back home. We hope you had a lovely time with us and we look forward to seeing you again.
