Hattiban Rock Climbing is about an hour’s drive from Kathmandu, followed by a 20-minute walk to the cliff. Guided by local experts, your trek passes the historic Samye Monastery (Rigon Tashi Choeling Monastery) before entering the forest trail that leads to the climbing site. The cliff offers 8–10 bolted routes with climbing grades ranging from 6a to 7a, making it ideal for professional climbers seeking top-level challenges.

The cliff enjoys sunlight throughout the day in winter, creating a stunning climbing environment. Spring and autumn are also suitable for climbs, while summer and monsoon seasons are not recommended due to heat and slippery conditions. Day 1:Hattiban Rock Climbing

Your trip starts from Kathmandu. A one-hour drive from the capital will take you to the Hattiban village. A local guide will accompany you through steep trail into the deep forest. After 20 minute of hiking, you will reach the climbing spot. Your guide will then help you fix your harnesses and ropes, and assist you to climb the cliff. The cliff has 10 properly bolted routes that can be ascended easily. After completing the climb, you will get on a vehicle to return to Kathmandu. Overall, the trip duration is estimated to be around 12 hours.
