The trek on the Island Peak Climbing Journey offers you scenic views of Mt. Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8414m), Nuptse (7861m), Pumo Ri (7165m), and Khumbu Icefall among others. Likewise, the trip also offers many cultural exchanges.
Sherpa villages like Namche, Tengboche, and Chhukung are some major stops on the trip. Furthermore, the Sagarmatha National Park also grants amazing bio-diversity.
Firstly, a short flight from Kathmandu will take you to Lukla. After a stop at Phakding, you’ll head to Namche Bazaar. Next, you trek along the Imja River to reach Tengboche.
Afterwards, you’ll trek to Dingboche watching the beautiful view of snowcapped mountains. From Dingboche, you start your trek to Chhukung and continue to the Island Base camp alongside the view of Lhotse Glacier.
Finally, you will climb to the summit and retrace your path back to base camp. You will return to Namche Bazaar after passing the Sherpa villages of Pangboche and Tengboche. Ultimately, you will head to Lukla and fly to Kathmandu.
