Kathmandu Chitwan Lumbini Pokhara Tour is a trip to explore the cultural and natural heritage of these four cities. This short tour is best for those who want to travel to Nepal in a short period of time. The trip includes scenic views from Nagarkot to the wildlife of Chitwan. The tour travels around the central and western parts of Nepal. The world heritage sites in Kathmandu Valley are a major attraction of the trip. Similarly, Chitwan offers the chance to explore Chitwan National Park and plenty of diverse wildlife. Likewise, Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha, has much Buddhist heritage. Finally, Pokhara provides us with beautiful views of the Annapurna ranges and Machhapuchhre (6997m).

Firstly, you visit all three Durbar squares in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur. After exploring the world heritage sites, you drive to Nagarkot. Here, you watch the sunrise over the mountains from the Nagarkot viewpoint. Leaving this beautiful town, you drive to Chitwan. Here, you explore the Chitwan National Park, a natural world heritage site. Thereafter, a drive along the East-West Highway takes you to Lumbini. There are many sites in Lumbini to visit like Maya Devi stupa, World Peace Stupa, and other monasteries. Next up at Pokhara, you head to Sarangkot and relish the view of Machhapuchhre (6997m) and the Annapurna range. Similarly, other popular sites in Pokhara are Davis Falls, Mahendra Cave, World Peace Stupa, and Phewa Lake.

Day 1:Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel

The journey begins with your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Here, our company representative will receive you and take you to the hotel. After you freshen up, you can explore some of the Newari heritage.

The day begins as we make our way to Swayambhunath Temple, a Buddhist heritage, which boasts a mesmerizing view of the Kathmandu Valley. Next, we visit the Kathmandu Durbar Square and relish the ancient history and culture in the valley. As we near the end of our tour around Kathmandu Valley, we drive to the Hindu temple of Pashupatinath and witness the Hindu shrines and rituals. Wrapping up things at the valley we make our way towards the hill station of Nagarkot driving through pleasant hilly landscapes.

    The day begins with stunning views of a Himalayan sunrise as the hilly hamlet boasts stunning views of different Himalayan ranges including Ganesh, Langtang, Jugal, Numbur, Rolwaling and even the Everest. Taking in the stunning natural scenery around the hamlet alongside the Himalayan views, we make our way over to the city of Chitwan. Exiting Nagarkot, the journey heads through the winding bends of Prithvi Highway alongside the stunning Trishuli River.

      Another early day as we begin our wildlife adventure in the stunning Chitwan National Park. The oldest national park of the nation boasts a wide variety of species like Sloth Bear, Langur, wild boar, leopards, jungle cats, and also the endangered Royal Bengal Tiger and one-horned rhino. Throughout the day, we indulge in a wide variety of activities including Jungle safari, elephant safari, and also canoe rides on the banks of Rapti River. We can also head to the Tharu village and enjoy the Tharu culture along with their traditional dances.

        Wrapping things up at Chitwan, we begin our journey further to the west heading towards the city of Lumbini. The journey is a fairly straightforward one as we make our way on the East-West Highway through the Terai landscapes alongside the Narayani River. Throughout, the journey crosses several rivers most of them being tributaries of Narayani. The drive is a fairly short one and takes about 4 to 5 hours which allows free time for exploration of the cultural city.

          Our Lumbini excursion begins from the stunning heritage of Mayadevi temple which not only shows the exact birthplace of Lord Buddha but also the seven steps he took right after birth. After journeying around the temple premises, we head over to the Lumbini peace pagoda taking a relaxing ferry ride along the way. Time permitting, we also journey to the surrounding monasteries commissioned by several nations on the holy land. After lunch, we once again board a vehicle and make our way over to the city of Pokhara.

            The day begins with the stunning views of Machhapuchhre (6997m) and the Annapurna Himalayan range as we begin our Pokhara tour. Here, we can hike towards the peace pagoda for better Himalayan views. On our way back, we tour the stunning cites of Davis Falls and the temple of Gupteshwor Mahadev located on either side of the street. We end our journey with a pleasant walk alongside the stunning Phewa Lake enjoying pleasant views of the sunset.

              The final day of the trip and we make our way back to Kathmandu. Exiting the valley of Pokhara, the rising hills removes all trace of Himalayas from the horizon as the journey finds the bends of the Prithvi Highway. Once again, we drive alongside the banks of the Trishuli River to reach the capital city. Reaching Kathmandu, we make our way directly to the hotel where a lovely farewell dinner awaits us.
