Langtang Valley Trek is a sublime journey that lasts 11 days. As the name suggests, it goes along the Langtang Valley to the north of Kathmandu.
Tamangs are the locals of the Langtang Valley and the guardians of the place. As Tibetan culture begins to prevail further north, the Tibetan-influenced culture welcomes the trekkers.
As such, the trek reaches its climax at the Kyanjin Gompa and Tserko Ri (4984m).
The cultural wealth of the Tamang community along with the beauty of the Langtang Himalayas are the highlights of the trek.
The trek heads to the Kyanjin Gompa, an ancient Buddhist monastery and a prominent religious site.
Similarly, Langtang Valley Trek also features a mesmerizing display of mountains in the Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and Gauri Shankar ranges. Also, the myths and stories of Yeti sightings also make the trek pretty adventurous.
Firstly, the trek starts with a drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubensi. It is followed by a trek from Syabrubensi to Kyanjin Gompa.
On the way, you pass many Tamang and Tibetan villages like Lama Hotel, Ghodatabela, and Langtang Village. At Kyanjin Gompa, you explore around the ancient monastery and hike to the top of Tserko Ri (4984m).
Thus, it is the perfect viewpoint to relish the sights of Dorje Lakpa, Langtang, and Gauri Shankar ranges. Along the trail, you trek through a diverse forest of subtropical to alpine trees through the Langtang National Park.
