    The remote region of Tashi Lapcha at Rolwaling makes one of the most difficult treks in entire Nepal. Thus, The Rolwaling Tashi Lapcha Pass Trek explores the trail that lies deep between the Langtang and Khumbu regions.

    Enjoy trekking through the discreet region and climb one of the highest mountain passes, Tashi Labsta La Pass (5755m). It is also the most dangerous passes to climb in Nepal. En route to the pass, you will cross through many ethnic settlements, lush rhododendron and alpine vegetation, and the Trakarding Glacier. This trek will also take you to the Everest Region and give you the chance to visit the Sherpa villages of Namche and Lukla.

    The 18-day Rolwaling Tashi Lapcha Pass Trek begins upon your arrival in Kathmandu. Without wasting any time, you’ll embark on a scenic drive east of Kathmandu to Gonggar Khola via the historical Dolakha Town. The trek commences at Gonggar and advances to Simigaon.

    Afterward, you’ll gradually trek through Daldung La, Beding, Na, and Ramdung Go (5930m) to reach the high glacial Lake of Tsho Rolpa (4540m). You’ll encounter many traditional Tibetan and Sherpa villages along the trail that offers an insightful overview of the simple lifestyle of the locals. The trail crosses Trakarding Glacier (4800m) and moves further east to Tashi Labsta La Pass (5755m) before entering the Everest region.

    The highest point of the trek, Tashi Labsta La Pass offers majestic sights of Mount Everest (8848m), Langtang Lirung(7227m), and Gaurishankar Himal(7134m). Across the pass, you’ll be trekking through Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Himalayan National Parks of Nepal.

    You’ll join the popular Everest trail and trek through traditional Sherpa villages namely Thame, Namche Bazaar, and Monjo to reach Lukla. The trek concludes at Lukla.     1. Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu| 1300m

      Upon your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu, one of our representatives will warmly receive you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. You’ll drive through the bustling towns to reach your hotel located at the heart of the city. You’ll meet your trek guide and discuss the itinerary in detail. Afterward, you can do as you please since there is nothing else planned for the day.

    2. Day 02 Sightseeing in Kathmandu

      We begin the trip with the exploration of the UNESCO world heritage sites spread around the valley. Beginning the day, we head to the Swayambhunath temple with the tranquil environment and pleasant views of the valley. Then, we head down to the Hindu temple of Pashupatinath. Next, we journey to the Kathmandu Durbar Square where we can observe the ancient culture, art, and architecture. The day comes to an end with the monastery of Boudhanath along with the sunset views.

    3. Day 03 Drive from Kathmandu to Gonggar via Dolakha| 1660m (7/8 hours) on land cruiser and trek to Simigaon| 2020m (1/2 hours), overnight at tented camp.

      After an early breakfast, you’ll embark on a road trip on a land cruiser and drive 200km east to Gonggar Khola via historical Dolakha Town. You’ll cross Pikhuti, Suri Dobhan and Manthali villages en route. You’ll also witness the beautiful sights of Sunkoshi, Bhote Khosi, and Tama Koshi Rivers en route. You’ll begin trekking from Gonggarand head north to the nearby village of Simigaon. Overnight in Simigaon.

    4. Day 04 from Simigaon to Daldung La| 3976m (7/8 hours), overnight at tented camp.

      Leaving Simigaon, the trail gradually advances northeast and goes along the lushly decorated rhododendron forest en route to Daldung La. Trekking along the ridges of Tasinam Danda, you head to another ridge along the ridge of Bhanwaa Danda. You’ll scale the vertical stone steps from Simigaon and cross the Rolwaling River to reach Daldung La. Overnight in Daldung La.

    5. Day 05 Trek from Daldung La to Beding| 3690m (7/8 hours), overnight at tented camp.

      Daldung La mostly comprises of small settlements that are home to Tamang tribe of people. Leaving Daldung La, you’ll advance through the rocky trail and undertake a couple of detours to reach Nyamare village. Here you can catch the beautiful sight of Gaurishankar (7134m). After few hours of walking from Nyamare, you will reach Beding, the largest Sherpa village in the Rolwaling valley. Overnight in Beding.

    6. Day 06 Exploration Day, Overnight at tented camp.

      You’ll take a day off and explore the valley instead of trekking further. At Bedding, you can enjoy the beautiful sight of Melung La Pass (5616m) and also get to trek through the snow moraines to the top of Melung La. You can observe the ethnic lifestyle, culture, and tradition of the Sherpa tribe at Beding. Overnight in Beding.

    7. Day 07 Trek from Beding to Na| 4180m (4/5 hours), overnight at tented camp.

      It’s an easy uphill trek from Beding to Na Gaon. As you make your way further from Beding, the vegetation will deplete and lead you to drylands near Na. You’ll trek along the Rolwaling River and go past Dhogre village that opens up a gateway to the region with large Mani stones wrapped in Buddhist prayer flags. Na Gaon village is located just a short distance from Dhogre. Overnight in Na Gaon.

    8. Day 08 Acclimatization day: Hike to Ramdung Go| 5930m and Yalung Glacier, overnight at tented camp.

      You’ll take a day off from trekking further from Na and spend the day acclimatizing around Na Gaon. You’ll begin the day by crossing Yalung Glacier which remains slippery and difficult. Afterward, you’ll hike to the Ramdung Go via Ramdung Glacier. Ramdung Go is a local peak from where you can catch the beautiful sight of Tsho Rolpa Lake. You’ll head back to Na Gaon for the night.

    9. Day 09 Trek from Na to Tsho Rolpa Lake| 4540m (4/5 hours), overnight at tented camp.

      Leaving Na Gaon, you’ll gradually climb along the rocky and snowy trail to arrive at the largest glacial lake in the region, Tsho Rolpa Lake. The lake of Tsho Rolpa is considered a holy site by both Hindu and Buddhist adherents. The lake is quite big and it looks like it is surrounded by Rolwaling Himal Range. You get a nice view of Parchomo Himal (6273m) and Chobuje(6686)from the lake. Overnight in camp, Tsho Rolpa.

    10. Day 10 Trek from Tsho Rolpa Lake to Trakarding Glacier 4800m (7/8 hours), overnight at tented camp.

      Leaving Tsho Rolpa Lake, you’ll briefly trek along the narrow path to arrive at Trakarding Glacier. Although the length from Tsho Rolpa to Trakarding is shorter, it is well compensated by the difficult icy terrain with steep ascents. While passing through Trakarding Glacier, you can catch the magnificent sighs of Rolwaling Kang (6664m), Takargo (6671m), and JabouRi (6166m) peaks. Overnight in camp, Trakarding.

    11. Day 11 Trek from Trakarding Glacier to Tashi LabstaPhedi 5665m (6/7 hours), overnight at tented camp.

      Leaving Trakarding Glacier, you’ll enter the foothill of Tashi Labsta La Pass (5755m). At a short distance from Trakarding, you’ll cross High Camp of Jabou Himal (6166m) and encounter another glacier, Drolambau. It may take a while to trek across the glacier to reach the Tashi Labsta Phedi located at the foot of Tashi Labsta La Pass. Overnight in Tashi Labsta Phedi.

    12. Day 12 Trek from Tashi Labsta Phedi to Tashi LabstaCamp 5665m (4/5 hours) via Tashi Labsta Pass 5755m. Overnight at tented camp.

      It is one of the most difficult days of the trek as you leave Tashi Labsta Phedi and climb the pass to reach to the other side to Tashi Camp. You’ll encounter rocky and icy terrain at the top that offers a pristine sight of Mount Everest (8848m), Langtang Lirung(7227m), and Gaurishankar(7134m). You’ll begin heading down and make your way towards Tashi Labsta Camp, also known as Tashi LabstaPhuk. The pass lies just at the border of Rolwaling and Khumbu valley.

    13. Day 13 Trek from Tashi Labsta Camp to Thyangbo 4350m (4/5hours), overnight at tented camp.

      Leaving Tashi Labsta Camp, you’ll begin trekking through Sagarmatha National Park for the rest of the trek. The Himalayan National Park lies inside the Everest region and is home to some of the most exotic wildlife including Lophophorus and Red Panda. You’ll cross a glacier to reach Ngole village. Afterward, you’ll trek along Parchemuche Tsho, a glaciated lake, to reach Thyangbo village. Overnight in Thyangbo.

    14. Day 14 Trek from Thyangbo to Thame 3820m (4/5 hours), overnight at tented camp.

      Leaving Thyangbo, the trek goes along the yak pastures to Thame village. A short downhill hike from Thyangbo will lead to Thame. You’ll get to witness the local Power-House just before entering the Thame village. Once at Thame, you can visit the local Thame monastery which is also one of the oldest monasteries in the region, and also see Sundar Peak (5361m). Overnight in Thame.

    15. Day 15 Trek from Thame to Namche Bazaar 3440m (5/6 hours), overnight at tented camp.

      You’ll head down to the renowned Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar from Thame. Namche is the largest Sherpa village in the entire Khumbu region that is popular for its lodges, shops, restaurants, and diners. While walking downhill, you can catch some great sights of the Mt. Everest (8848m), Cho Oyu (8188m), and Taboche Peak (6367m). By the time you arrive in Namche, green lush vegetation are back. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

    16. Day 16 Trek from Namche to Lukla2800m (6/7 hours), overnight at tented camp.

      Leaving Namche Bazaar, you’ll trek through Dudh Koshi River to arrive at Monjo. Monjo serves as the entry and exit point of Sagarmatha National Park. You’ll trek past Phakding and make your way to Lukla for the overnight stay. This will feel like a long trek and might find yourself tired at the end of the day. The trail to Lukla initially goes downhill and starts to go uphill from Phakding. Overnight in Lukla.

    17. Day 17 Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.

      Today, you will catch the earliest flight back from Tenzing Hillary Airport of Lukla to Kathmandu. You’ll bid adieu to the Everest region and fly back to Kathmandu while catching the pristine aerial sight of the Himalayas for the last time. Once in Kathmandu, you’ll be received by our representative and escorted to your hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

    18. Day 18 Reserve day for flight cancellation from Lukla to Kathmandu due to bad weather, Overnight in Hotel.

      An additional day is kept aside to ensure that you make your back to Kathmandu from Lukla. The weather in Everest Region is unpredictable and there can be flight cancellation due to bad weather. If you are already in Kathmandu, take the day to simply rest or explore around the city and do some souvenir shopping. Overnight in Kathmandu.

    19. Day 19 Final Departure

      Our representative will drop you off at Tribhuvan International Airport. We big you farewell from the land of the Himalayas with the hope that you had a wonderful time traveling with us.
